Sorry for the summer layover: my mom wouldn't let me use the computer.
I've started the fifth grade: I'm in Mr. Ibach's class, and we're getting a new student tomorrow. I have finally accepted to school combination. I have a new friend, Liesl Unger, and another, Dustin Malvin. Liesl is a lot like me, and Dustin is helping me with one of my inventions. I hope I like the new girl.
Ciao for now,
Heather

I AM EXTREMELEY EXCITED!
TOMORROW I GO ON A 14-HOUR FEILD TRIP TO BISMARCK! YAY!
Here is a copy of the notice that was handed out to all the parents:
"BISMARCK BOUND
Dear Parents:
Our 4th grade classes will be taking our annual trip to Bismarck on Friday, May 2. We will leave at 6:30 a.m. sharp, so we ask that you bring your child to Roosevelt between 6:15-6:30 a.m. We will return to Roosevelt around 10:15 p.m.
We will have sack lunches provided by the school lunch service for each child. We will also provide each student with $5.00 for supper at McDonald's in Jamestown. Th students will need to supply money only if they plan to spend more than the $5.00. We will also be paing the fee for the Custer House Tour.
Your child may bring up to $10.00 for spending money at the gift shop at Fort Lincoln. He/She may also bring drinks (other than pop) and snacks for the long bus ride. We will be providing one pop per child for the afterboon. PLease choose snacks that are appropriate for a morning snack and later afternoon snack, as we will not be stopping for supper until about 7:00 p.m. We would ask that no Gameboys, CD players, etc... come on the bus. There are times when the bus may be unattended, and we are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Also, these items have caused conflict in the past, which we would like to avoid.
Our itinerary includes a tour of the Faulkirk Mine in the a.m. We will then eat our lunch on the bus on our way to the Capitol Building and the Heritage Center in Bismarck. We will snack our way to the Custer House, Fort Abraham Lincoln State Park, and the Indian Village near Mandan. We hope to depart for Fargo at approimately 6:00 p.m. We will stop in Jamestown for supper and then make our way home.
There will be 3-4 additional adults besides the classroom teachers on the feild trip. We are looking forward ti a fun, educational experience learning about our state.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Marks & Mrs. O'Meara"
I will be sure to give you a full description on Saturday morning, because tomorrow night it'll be too late. YAHOOOOOOOOOOO!
