Chocolate Math and other difficulties

Today in Advanced Math we had a thing called chocolate math, where we were supposed to solve a math problem and if we got the right answer we got to eat a piece of chocolate. The problem was the piece of chocolate was RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME the whole time, so I was tempted to eat it but it felt like FOREVER before I got to have it. It was like I was a dog with a treat on its nose and the owner kept saying "wait, wait" while her sister was giving a lecture on the properties of 9! When I finally did get to eat it I popped it into my mouth. It melted intstantly and I swallowed. I waited half an hour to eat chocolate, which only took like 2 minutes.
Also I barely made it to advanced math ans social studies on time, due to lots of travel and being let out a minute late from adivosry and advanced math.
But otherwise the day was good. We checked out library books for English. I'm reading one called Perfect about a girl who makes herself throw up after she eats.

Well, the second day of school went about the same as the first. I'm not going to go into detail, but I'll list the improtant stuff:

  • We got our math and social studies textbooks.
  • We started our first art project.
  • I like chicken egg rolls! (that's what we had for lunch)
  • I had my first gym class, where we picked out lockers and then walked around the track.

The First Day

My first day of middle school was FANTASTIC! I'll take you through it:

Before school: I got there about five minutes early and had time to take my bag to my locker and put some more stuff in my trapper keeper before I foolishly cut myself on a scissors. Luckily, Ms. S. was nearby and she told some girls to get me a band-aid from the nurse's office. I made it to class just in time!
First period: Mr. Volk's class for language arts. He explained the basic rules, handed us our planners, and the principal and assistant pricipal came on the TV and welcomed us, and talked about the covers of our planners. Then Mr. Volk said we were young adults, his goal was for us to have no homework, and if we just gave him a little, he'd give us a lot.
Halltime: I was in the hall for a few minutes getting my trapper keeper settled. My combination is so easy. I would put it on here, but someone might steal stuff, so I'll just put it in code and won't even tell the code I used: Y-O-U. Haha, that spells YOU.
Second period: Back to Mr. Volk's class for the second half of language arts. He read part of a book that I can't remember the title of. Then he handed us our textbooks.
Halltime: A quick stop at my locker to get some final things situated.
Third period: Mr. Volk AGAIN, this time through science. I listened to another lecture about his rules, then he explained how some of the science stuff in the room works, like the eye rinse station and the chemical shower.
Halltime: Putting my art stuff into my art case and rushing down the hall.
Fourth period: ART CLASS! Mrs. Roth is a good teacher. She assigned us cubbies, and has a kiln in her classroom. We get to sit on stools instead of chairs. She said we'll be doing a lot of cool stuff over the year.
Fifth period-first half: LUNCH!!! I had chicken O's, apricots in water, and chocolate milk. It was delicious, and I'll tell you, normally I don't like barbecure sauce, but it was the only sauce the school offered and it was pretty darn good!
Fifth period-second half: Advisory with Mrs. Roth. We got a handout and then started a game where we count M&Ms, write the number of colors and our names on sheets of paper, then put them in a bucket. That's as far as we've gotten so far, but Mrs. Roth said there'll be more.
Halltime: Not much, just trying to get down to the gym as fast as I could.
Sixth period: Oops! I didn't realize that I had choir today instead of phy ed, so when I showed up in the gym, the teacher was like, "You don't come here today. You come tomorrow" I hurried off to the choir room. We did roll call like the other classes, but we were singing it. Then we highlighted our choir days on our calendars (mine are B and E. Today is an A day, but we don't start choir until Tuesday), and learned good posture and a new song in an English accent.
Halltime: Hurrying downstairs again! The seventh graders didn't even notice that I was younger.
Seventh period: Advanced math with Mrs. Bernardy! She had a funeral to go to, so a sub taught us. I don't know her name. We were sent on a scavenger hunt through our textbooks. It was cool.
Halltime: Back upstairs again!
Eighth period: Social studies with Ms. S! First, she has Garfeild pictures all over her walls and ceiling. She has a bunch of plush garfeilds around her desk. Sometimes they call her Ms. Garfeild. She took roll, then told us the top ten things that drive her crazy, and let me tell you she is a GREAT actress! She can do different voices, always say something to make you laugh, and she even has a "Blurting Dance". She is a riot!!!
After school: After getting my stuff, Katelin came to my house. She's gonna do that alot since her parents cant pick her up every day. She was here for about 2 hours and then her mom came and got her.
Fun day all around!!!

Back-to-school-night!

I just went to Back-To-School night for Ben Franklin! I met Mr. Volk, Mrs. Roth, Mrs. Aubry, and Mrs. S. (can't remember her name for longness). Mr. Volk is my launguage arts and science teacher. Mrs. Roth is my art teacher and my advisory director. Mrs. Aubry is my choir teacher, and Mrs. S. is my social studies teacher. I went to my advanced math classroom, but the teacher, Mrs. Bernardy, wasn't there. I didn't go to the gym. The first day of school is TOMORROW and I am so excited!!!!!

Also here's Sam

Here are pictures of the kittens:

NEW KITTEN!!!!

My family just adopted the CUTEST orange kitten EVER!!! His name is Max. He got his whiskers cut off because he needed medicine right there, but they'll grow back. I'll upload pics later.

Ryann's weird friend Alea is over

They're trying to feed Bella.

The kitten is here!

OMG the kitten is here EARLY!!! Her name is Bella and she is white and sooooo cute! I'll upload some pics later.
BTW the sleepover at Katelin's house will actually be at mine. I can't wait!

I just got a new keypal!

Her name is Furply and she lives in Colorado. I just sent my FIRST EMAIL to her and I'm waiting eagerly for her reply.
We will definitely be kitten sitting. The kitten will be coming in the middle of September, which is so cool. Yesterday we went to my cousin Laura's farm. They have three sweet little kittens there! Their names are Smoky, Sparkles, and Ashes. Ashes is my favorite and Sparkles is Ryann's, but our mom says we can't adopt any of them :(. I will upload pics of them later maybe.
Anyway, I'm going to a sleepover at Katelin's house on Wednesday, right after we register for Ben Franklin. The best part is, if we get our groups right after registration, we'll be able to see if we're in the same group right then! I love life.

OMG WE MIGHT BE KITTEN SITTING

I just heard that my family might be babysitting a 3-month-old kitten for three months while its owners go to Scotland! ISN'T THAT COOL!
In other news, I'm starting Ben Franklin in thirteen days! I'M GOING TO MIDDLE SCHOOL!

Here's how to play. Ask the ball, "O magic 8 ball, _________________________." Then move your mouse around in the square to shake it. Then click to see your answer. Ask again if it shows a star because I'm not sure what a star means.
